Note: Program guidelines restrict assistance to employees experiencing severe financial need due to specific unexpected emergencies/crisis events which can be documented. While all emergencies and financial hardships are unfortunate, incidents outside of program guidelines cannot be approved.

Employees should use available resources such as medical/life insurance, PTO, short/long term disability, personal savings, assistance from family members, etc. before applying for assistance.

Upon approval, grant recipients are typically mailed a check made payable to the vendor requesting payment (i.e. landlord, utility company, contractor, etc.).  We understand that each situation is unique so please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

For examples of items that will not be considered by this program, click here. This page also contains suggested documentation.

¹Financial counseling resources could be provided after two grants are approved over an employee’s lifetime.  The review committee may require documentation that a budgeting session with a financial counselor has been completed before a third grant is approved.

*Immediate Family Defined: Spouse/partner; brother/sister; children; step-children; grandchildren; parents; step-parents; grandparents; mother/father-in-law; son/daughter-in-law only.

***No private contractors are paid through BamaBuilds; Revitalize T-Town administers the repair process; No foundation repairs or repairs covered by home owners insurance will be considered for BamaBuilds. Limited structural repairs will be considered. No mold removal will be considered. Home to be repaired must be primary residence and owned by team member (no rental homes accepted). Mortgage and property taxes must be current at time of repair. Average completion will take between 2 and 6 months.  Safety issues will be addressed immediately.  For example: A leaking roof may be tarped to stop an immediate leak issue until a contractor is able to fully complete repairs.
